How to Install Mods

On this page, we’ll guide you step by step on how to install the mods shared through Trucksimulator.org for truck simulation games. First, you can freely download the latest Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator mods from our website. We regularly share updated content including customization parts, tuning mods, maps, truck mods, drivable vehicles such as buses and cars, and realistic company paint jobs—everything you need to enhance your driving experience.

How to Install Mods for ETS2/ ATS ?

Installing mods in Euro Truck Simulator 2 / American Truck Simulator, developed by SCS Software, is quite simple. Mods with .ZIP or .SCS extensions can be installed directly, while files in other compressed formats such as .RAR or .7ZIP need to be extracted first.

The recommended file format is .SCS. If a ZIP archive contains an SCS file inside, make sure to extract it before installation.

Installation Path:
Copy the downloaded .SCS or .ZIP mod files to the following directory:
Documents > Euro Truck Simulator 2 > mod
Documents > American Truck Simulator > mod

Then launch the game and click the “Mods (0 Actives)” button on the main menu. Move your newly added mod to the Active Mods section, press Confirm, and start the game.

Where to Find the Mod Dealer

Vehicles you’ve added to the game—such as trucks, cars, buses, and other drivable vehicles—can usually be purchased from the Mod Dealer. You can find the Mod Dealer under the Services section in the game’s main menu.

For tuning parts, skins, and paint job mods, you need to own the specific truck model the mod is designed for. Once you have the correct truck, visit a service shop in the game to customize and apply the new modifications.

How to Install Map for ETS2 / ATS?

Maps are added to the game in two different ways. The first is like a DLC pack, which allows you to continue with your existing save file. The second is like a standalone universe, where you must create a profile from scratch and select a specific map module.

  1. DLC-Style Maps
Maps added like DLC packs are installed just like standard mods. Once they are activated, you can continue your current career and play on the new map immediately.
  2. Standalone Maps (New Profile)
To load other types of maps, follow these steps:
  • First, let’s create a New Profile.
  • After choosing a profile picture and name, click the Mod Manager (or Mods) button and select the map.
  • Then, click the Continue button and select the Map Module on the following screen.
  • Finally, complete the profile creation.
  • Now, you are ready to play on the new map!
